Another day another milestone for India's vaccination drive. Just a day after 1 crore doses were administered on Saturday, India has achieved the distinction of fully vaccinating its 50% eligible adult population on Sunday.

Till the time of writing this news, a total of 1,27,91,89,733 vaccine doses have been administered successfully. While 80,15,87,360 people have taken the first dose, 47,76,02,373 people have been inoculated with both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
The health ministry said in a statement that the government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of vaccination throughout the country.
With two indigenous vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin, India's vaccination drive which began on 16th January this year is going at a brisk pace and is expected to cover all adults sooner than later.
