 Petrol-Diesel Price in Delhi: 

The Delhi government has cut VAT on petrol. It was reduced from 30 percent to 19.40 percent, which will make petrol cheaper in the country's capital.

Petrol-Diesel Price in Delhi

Giving great relief to the people, the Delhi Government has reduced the prices of petrol by up to eight rupees. Kejriwal government has decided to reduce VAT on petrol. This decision was taken by the Delhi government after the cabinet meeting today. Apart from this, the price of diesel has also come down. Delhi government reduced VAT on petrol from 30 percent to 19.40 percent. The new rates will be applicable from midnight tonight.

Petrol Prices are now below 100 

Till now the price of petrol in Delhi was Rs. 103 per liter. But now after this cut, petrol will be sold in the capital at Rs. 95 per liter. That is, now the price of petrol in Delhi has come down to Rs. 100. Whereas in other major cities- Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, petrol prices are still running above Rs.100.

Oil prices in Delhi were higher than those in NCR cities of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, where the state last month announced a reduction in VAT on fuel prices following the reduction in excise duty on fuel prices...

Previously The Central Govt. reduced excise duty

Since the beginning of this year, there was a fire in the prices of petrol and diesel across the country, due to which the public is very upset. However, for the last several days, the country's prices of petrol and diesel have remained stable. Earlier, the central government had also reduced the tax on petrol and diesel. Last month, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 per liter and Rs 10 per liter respectively. Since then, there was pressure on the state governments to reduce VAT at their level and give relief to the public.
